2. We research and score
We combine public state licensing and business-registry records with each business's own public website, then score each one on signals like business age, owner tenure and whether a successor is already in place.
3. You review and reach out
You get a list with the reasons behind each score, the business's public contact details and a draft letter you edit. You decide whom to contact and send each letter yourself. We never send messages on your behalf.
Our data principles
- Sources are public records (state licensing boards and business registries) and businesses' own public websites. No scraped social networks.
- Business contact details only. No sensitive personal data.
- No mass outreach. OwnerSignal is a research tool; buyers contact owners one by one, personally.
- Every record shows its source so you can check it, and we replace records that turn out to be wrong.
